The road life takes you on

To assimilate into America means that you have successfully blended in with the American culture and speak the native language fluently. For people emigrating from other countries it is not only a great accomplishment for them to get to the United States but to assimilate into the culture as well. They must not only understand how we do things but they must also understand the different trends that are going on throughout America. For example you will be called an outcast if you wear the wrong clothes, listen to the wrong stuff, and act the wrong way around other people. You must find good friends which will help you not do the wrong things and will show you the right things to do. Some Americans that were born in America have problems assimilating into our culture.  They stand out just as much as immigrants yet some immigrants assimilate better than some Americans.  The culture of America is a little difficult to get used to. We as a whole have a lot better system of democracy, get to speak for ourselves, and get to make our own decisions. As in other countries they are told what they will be from the time they are born from the time they die. That is why so many people want to come assimilate into the American culture because they want a better opportunity at life and want to be able to have their own opinions on different subjects. So to assimilate into America you have to not only  fit in but be smart, and try to get a better understanding of life in America.

Me? or my Family?

In my opinion my family will always come first no matter what the situation is. Without my family I don't know what I would do. I have one sister who is 26 one brother who is 23 and of course my mother and father. Each one of them has taught me an important life lesson. My sister is pretty much my second mom when I was just a little baby I would always be with my sister all the time. She would feed me and do everything my mom would do. My brother is awesome. He has taught me how to play the guitar, Taught me the right and wrongs between different things, and has always been there for me if i needed any sort of help. Without my parents I wouldn't have even been born. They put a roof over my head and provide for me whenever I need anything. My parents would do anything for me, and i would do anything for them. That is why my family is more important to me than anything else.

The American Dream

The American Dream is to give everyone in society a stable living condition, a well paid job, affordable college education, and affordable health care. But as we all know that is pretty much never going to happen. People will always be on the "short end of the stick" and we as Americans should understand that the Government will never be able to provide for the people as we would expect them to do. We should take matters into our own hands and gain access to theses things by graduation high school and trying to further are education by attending college. Then will the Americans get their American Dream.
My American dream would be to graduate college and go on to be a doctor. I'm not sure what type of doctor I would like to be but I know I would love to help better the health of others or maybe even discover a cure for something. But I know that there are going to be many challenges along the way but I'm sure i will be able to overcome them and achieve my goal.

My life

My name is Joshua Huron. I have pretty much the normal life of a teenager. I play footbal, soccer, and I run track. One of the main things I love in life is music. Ive been not only listening but playing guitar since I was a little boy. I started off with mariachi and slowly worked my way up from to an classical to an acoustic guitar which sounds much better. I'm sure I'll progress even further the more I practice but for now that's all I got. Also sports is my second love in life I started those when I was about four years old. I first started playing soccer and track and then I moved up to football. Football is the sport I'm really good at but it's my second favorite sport. Soccer is my number 1 favorite. But I'm White so my soccer skills aren't the greatest but i try my best at everything I do.
